How do I test my internet connection?

Follow

I have a PC:

    1. Go to speakeasy.net/speedtest/
    2. Click 'Dallas, TX' to run your speed test

    1. Your Download and Upload speeds will be displayed. If your download speed is under 1 mbps, you should see slow performance
    2. Open TWO Command Prompt windows
      • Windows 7: Click the Start Menu and type 'command prompt'
      • Windows 8: Point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click 'Search'. Enter command prompt in the search box, tap or click 'Apps', and then tap or click Command Prompt.
    3. In the first window, type "cd Desktop' command and hit Enter
    4. In the same window, type "ping -t 8.8.8.8 > google.txt" and hit Enter

    1. In the second window, type "cd Desktop" command and hit Enter
    2. In the same window, type "ping -t app.wodify.com > wodify.txt" and hit Enter
    3. After the performance issues have repeated a few times, go to each command window and press CTRL+C to stop the testing.
    4. On the desktop will be the files "google.txt" and "wodify.txt"; open them
    5. Look for likes that say "Request timed out." or where "time=" is greater than 60 or so.

  1. If these messages are seen in the "wodify.txt" file a lot but not "google.txt", then the issue is specific to connecting to Wodify, and Wodify *may* have a problem that needs to be fixed. If the messages also appear in "google.txt", then the problem is with the box's Internet connection, WiFi, etc.
  2. If you believe there may be an issue with Wodify, email us the files at support@wodify.com.
