How do I manage metcons?

WOD Components make up the parts of a WOD.  There are 7 WOD Components:

The following article explains what Metcons are and how to create them.

Metcons   Metcons are the staple of most WODs.  In short, it's the part of the WOD that makes you puke. In Wodify, Metcons:

  • Will have a result to be entered on the Coachboard
  • Will be displayed on the Whiteboard
  • Can be created as affiliate benchmarks or as one time non-benchmark Metcons
    • Benchmark: Workouts that are intended to be tracked and repeated over time. You will give these workouts names
    • Non-benchmark: Workouts that are NOT intended to be tracked and repeated over time. You will NOT give these workouts names


To create a Benchmark Metcon:

  1. Go to Wodify Admin > 'WOD' > 'Components' > 'Metcons' > 'New Metcon'
  2. Enter the Name and Description
  3. Choose the 'Measure'
  4. Save

You can also create a Benchmark Metcon when creating a WOD:

  1. Go to Wodify Admin > 'WOD' > 'List' > 'New WOD'
  2. Enter 'Basic Details' > Save
  3. Using the WOD Editor click on the 'Create a Custom Component' drop-down menu
  4. Select 'New Benchmark Metcon'
  5. Enter a Name, Details, and select a 'Score' option
  6. Click 'Save'


To create a Non-benchmark Metcon:

  1. Go to Wodify Admin > 'WOD' > 'List' > 'New WOD'
  2. Enter 'Basic Details' > Save
  3. Using the WOD Editor click on the 'Create a Custom Component' drop-down menu
  4. Select 'New Custom Metcon'
  5. Enter the details and select a 'Score' option

TIP!: Non-benchmark metcons are not intended to be repeated workouts. You will not be able to choose your non-benchmark metcon for a future WOD. If you intend to repeat your metcon of choice, make it a Benchmark Metcon. Deleting a Benchmark Metcon:

  1. Go to Wodify Admin > WOD > 'Components' > Metcon
  2. Click 'Filter Metcons'
    • Ownership is Affiliate
    • Add Filter
    • Change 'Any' of the following to 'All' of the following
  3. Find the Affiliate Benchmark you wish to delete
  4. Click 'Delete'
